JBL Latest News: Turntables, Streamers, Amplifiers

New start of JBL in the audio sector: After the good experience of recent years, the manufacturer comes to the market with new products. Of course, they have the usual vintage look and state-of-the-art technology. At the CES 2023 in Las Vegas, they are just presented. They are the 4329P, a studio monitor speaker, the SA550 Classic integrated amplifier, the MP350 Classic streaming media player, the CD350 Classic CD player, and the TT350 Classic turntable, as well as the SPINNER BT Bluetooth-enabled turntable.

Let’s take a look at the new products from the Harman Luxury Audio Group at a glance. Let’s start by saying that you’ll have to be a bit patient since all models won’t be launched until the second or even third half of 2023. But the wait will be worth it!

JBL 4329P studio monitor active speaker

The 4329P is a speaker system with amplification, high-resolution audio streaming, various wired and wireless connectivity options, and a variety of analog and digital inputs. Accordingly, the speaker is a complete solution. Patented JBL acoustic technologies ensure dynamics and accuracy in the sound image.

The 4329P includes two speakers, each powered by a 300-watt amplifier. Google Chromecast, Apple AirPlay 2, and Bluetooth 5.3 aptX Adaptive Audio are integrated. You can also look forward to this speaker’s Roon certification. Thanks to a high-resolution 24-bit/192-kHz DAC, you’ll hear your music in the highest fidelity, and MQA technology allows you to hear the sound of the original master recording. In terms of sources, you’ll also find USB, optical, and 3.5mm stereo inputs, as well as a combination XLR/6.35mm TRS phono input for use with balanced connections or unbalanced signals.

Finally, it remains to address the issue of design. Here you can choose between wood veneer surfaces in natural walnut or black.

Amplifier, streaming media player, CD player and turntable

The JBL Classic series also combines retro design with modern Hi-Res technology. As mentioned at the beginning, the series includes the new SA550 Classic integrated amplifier, the MP350 Classic streaming media player, the CD350 Classic CD player, and the TT350 Classic turntable. This is to round out passive and active speakers like the legendary L100 Classic in the Classic series. JBL found inspiration in the SA600 amplifier from the 60s as well as the SA750 integrated amplifier anniversary model. In this respect, you can also look forward to natural walnut veneers and front panels and controls made of machined aluminum in the new models. At the same time, they feature the latest in high-resolution digital and analog audio electronics. The result is that you can assemble a complete audio system from the Classic Series models. Worth considering not only for retro fans.

JBL’s  Spinner BT turntable

The Spinner BT is a Bluetooth-enabled record player. You can enjoy your records wirelessly. Connected to portable speakers, soundbars, or headphones, you do not have to give up the authentic sound of the record. Of course, wired connections are also possible. For such, the turntable has an analog output. Visually, the Spinner BT comes across as very slim. It has an aluminum platter and tonearm, a black MDF base with orange JBL accents, a modern front panel, and a hinged dust cover. Incidentally, the tonearm has a high-quality moving magnet pickup from Audio Technica.
