Monitor Audio’s New Silver 7G Series Delivers Brilliant Sound

British manufacturer Monitor Audio is showcasing the seventh generation of its popular Silver series, and we're excited to show you these latest technical and sonic innovations. Come take a first look at these new speakers with us!

Let’s start with an overview. The series consists of a total of eight models for HiFi and Home Cinema: the Silver 50 7G and Silver 100 7G compact speakers, the larger Silver 200 7G and Silver 300 7G floorstanding speakers, the flagship Silver 500 7G, the Silver C250 7G center speaker, the Silver FX 7G bipole/dipole speaker and, finally, the Silver AMS 7G, a Dolby Atmos-enabled add-on speaker. A pretty impressive lineup!

The rear-mounted drivers are encased in a superbly crafted enclosure. This not only makes for an attractive look but also for powerful music reproduction with minimized vibration — the drivers, in particular, do an excellent job. For example, the tweeter is there to reproduce high frequencies without distortion and to distribute the sound evenly throughout the room. The sonic innovations incorporated into the new series culminate in the series’ flagship: the Silver 500 7G. Specifically, this means a new drive for the C-CAM Gold tweeter (a combination of metal and ceramic) allows for clearer treble. The RST II midrange and woofers, in turn, feature a ceramic-coated alloy. This stiffens them and minimizes vibrations. The crossover has also been improved.

A majority of the speaker models come in a total of five finishes: Black Oak, Ash, High Gloss Black, Walnut, and White. With the Ash, Walnut Natural, and Oak Black real wood veneers are used. This gives you an excellent customization option in your living space. We are excited about the Silver 7G series and will, of course, be happy to welcome you to our retail store in due course so that you can see the range for yourself.
