HiFiMAN Shangri-La: From the 6th of November For A Week With Us
After several successful years in Essen, CanJam Europe will be taking place in Berlin for the first time on 4th and 5th November 2017. Instead of a detailed report, we have decided this year for a slightly different fair souvenir: From Monday we have a rare opportunity to listen to the luxury electrostatic HiFiMAN Shangri-La together with the perfectly tuned tube headphone amplifier in our Headphone Studio for the week. New Home Cinema At HiFi im Hinterhof!
We have reported in recent weeks with a few brief updates on the renovation of our major home cinema. Just in time for the Berliner Ohren-Tage, everything was finished and we are very satisfied with the result! Accordingly, we are pleased to provide you with the most important information about the equipment and, of course, to present the first photos. Draw the curtains!
The Renovation Of Our Large Home Cinema Still Underway!
For while now now our big cinema cinema suite has been revamped, which we reported on for the first time in this entry. In the meantime the wall for the technical room has got a nice paneling. Due to the luminaires on the ceiling, the room now has the typical cinema feel and also the fixture for the seating is now more appropriate. We are very much looking forward to the renovations of the room being completed!

As part of our workshops on the new Marantz 10 Series, we had the opportunity to speak with seasoned acoustic engineer Rainer Finck about his career, various areas of hi-fi technology and, of course, the new SA-10 and PM-10 models.
Our Home Cinema Under Renovations!
After years of faithful service from our home cinema, it is now time to show it some TLC. The entire room is to be redesigned from scratch with new armchairs, a new lighting concept and improved room acoustics which will ensure the prefect conditions so that our updated surround system is fully utilized.
We will be installing a 7.1.4 channel system (Dolby Atmos, DTS: X) with loudspeakers from the KEF Ci series, as standard we will also be utilizing an Arcam AV860 processor. The decision regarding the power amplifier is still pending however we will certainly find a suitable solution here as well. Our acoustically transparent 4K-projector screen – with a width of 3.5 – will be remaining as is, apart from a fabric re-newal. We'll be adding impressions of the reconstructions as they happen in our picture gallery. If you're not yet familiar with our home cinema set-up, the video below provides a good overview.
