Arcam AVRs Get An HDMI 2.1 Upgrade

Good news for all who own an AV receiver from Arcam: An HDMI 2.1 upgrade is due at the end of 2021. The AVR10, AVR20, AVR30, and AV40 models were designed from the start to be upgradable and the fact that this will be possible in the last quarter of this year is a big win for all Home Cinema fans.

Those who know Arcam, know that the AVRs bring the latest technology. They inspire in terms of functionality and performance. This also includes the high-resolution HDMI 2.0 4K UHD support. With the update at the end of 2021, Arcam ensures that the devices continue to be at the cutting edge of technology in terms of audio and video capabilities. This is made possible by an HDMI 2.1 video card that will be integrated into the models. The result of this is full HDMI 2.1 capability on all inputs and outputs.

Why do you need HDMI 2.1 in the first place? It is the most advanced standard in audio and video connectivity. It equates to additional features over its predecessor standard. Specifically, you can enjoy increased bandwidth to 48 Gbps. The resolution is supported up to 10K and the frame rate again up to 120fps.

We’re looking forward to the update. You can find an overview of our AV receivers from Arcam in our online store.
