In 1945 Fritz Sennheiser founded the audio company under the name Laboratorium Wennebostel, to which he finally lent his own name in the late 1950s when the company marked 75 years since its inception. To celebrate this event, Sennheiser released an anniversary edition of the HD 800 S headphones.
