Sennheiser’s Momentum 4 Wireless: Bluetooth Headphones With Noise Cancelling

Momentum 4 Wireless im Test
Did you catch our Sennheiser Momentum Wireless 3 post? Well, now Sennheiser released its Momentum Wireless 4, and our headphone expert, Daniel, wasted no time putting them to the test! Read on to find out what's new about these.

Our test model is black and comes in a chic, sturdy, dark gray fabric case that offers enough space for the headphones and accessories. An adapter for audio connections on airplanes and a jack cable are included. Of course, there is also an elegant version in white, which is available in our store. But now we are interested in one thing: How do the headphones feel, which are nevertheless very different from their predecessor in terms of design?

The headband is covered with the same dark gray textile as the case, but the Sennheiser logo shines discreetly in silver on the sides. The look is appealing and very simple, the headphones feel very light and high-quality. The snug ear cups are softly padded, covered with artificial leather and enclose the ear well. Of particular note is that there is only one button on the right side of the ear cup, and that’s it. So: press the button, put it on, and off you go. Connecting with the smartphone works without any problems. All important commands, such as loud and quiet, back and forth, off or on, can be triggered with the right hand by swiping or tapping on the right ear cup. This makes operation particularly easy and intuitive. On the ears, the Momentum 4 feels very comfortable even after longer listening, which is probably also due to the cooling effect of the cushion cover. Even the first notes of the music give great pleasure. One immediately wants to follow an impulse: Feet up, favorite music on and enjoy the “Concert for one”, but we are here for testing, so the headphones must go through a stress test first. We wipe and tap and issue commands – it all works well and is really fun. You don’t have to look at the phone all the time, a light touch is enough.

Sennheiser advertises that the Momentum 4 Wireless adapts to the environment and can minimize background noise, which can be a construction site or subway noise, or anything that can interfere with musical enjoyment. We try this out right away, there is enough noise in Berlin, and it works amazingly well in the test: we only hear our music. But we want to know more about the sound quality and listen through our playlists, from classical to pop to chansons: The bass of these headphones is powerful and has depth. We have no objections during the first check. Of course, Sennheiser offers a Smart Control app with all sorts of features, including an equalizer and a noise-cancelling intensity slider, so the headphones can meet all individual expectations and needs. From experience, there are settings here and there that are not quite perfect in the app, but the manufacturer is on it and offers optimization. During our test alone, there was already the first update.

A brief summary: After the first listening experience, we are thrilled and celebrate that the headphones are now available from us. Come by and try out the Momentum Wireless 4
As always, we look forward to your in-person visit to our retail store in Berlin-Kreuzberg.
