DALI’s Phantom Series: Meet The New K-60 LP & M-675

This combination of sophisticated technology and discreet design makes hi-fi and home theater enthusiasts sit up and take notice: The K-60 LP is just the thing for the ceiling, and the M-675 DALI offers an all-rounder for the wall - without sacrificing excellent sound, of course.

Many customers want discreet alternatives to floor-standing and bookshelf speakers for their living or work spaces that integrate as well as possible into their surroundings. This is particularly the case in the Home Cinema sector. Building on decades of experience in the development and manufacture of high-quality built-in loudspeakers, Dali is introducing two new solutions that are in no way inferior to freestanding loudspeakers in terms of sound.

DALI Phantom K-60 LP

The LP stands for ‘Low Profile’ because the new built-in speaker is a space-saving wonder for its rich sound. If you do not have the thickest walls and ceilings in your rooms, the two-way speaker is a good alternative. The overall depth is 41 mm, and the required installation depth is only 36.5 mm. The innovative design makes it possible for the K-60 LP to be exceptionally shallow while still maintaining the sound quality DALI is known for. This gives it a special place as a “flat speaker” on the market.

Despite the flat design, the K-60 LP driver can reproduce low-frequency levels with its maximum diaphragm excursion of ±7 mm. It should be mentioned that the in-wall speaker is advertised for ceiling mounting. However, wall mounting is possible depending on your individual needs and the room situation.

DALI Phantom M-Series

The DALI PHANTOM M series includes three models: the DALI PHANTOM M-250 features two compact bass/midrange drivers in a bass-reflex design and a 28 mm dome tweeter. The DALI PHANTOM M-375 features a larger woofer/midrange combined with two passive radiators and the hybrid ribbon tweeter. Both the M-250 and M-375 models have the exact same dimensions: 250 mm wide and 775 mm high with a depth of only 100 mm. The new M-675 is just as slim but has a height of 1320 mm.

Not Enough Space For Good Sound?

The big brother features two woofers/midrange drivers related to the M-375 but with different surround and voice coil components. They are combined with four passive radiators in a larger cabinet. Like the M-375, the M-675 uses the DALI hybrid tweeter, which consists of a large and lightweight fabric dome and a ribbon super-tweeter. Two SMC-based 7-inch woofers and four 7-inch radiators prepare an impressive sound.

It is these innovative details. that makes it the ideal speaker in a cinema setup. In combination with other models of the series, complex multi-channel systems are realized. This makes the M-675, like its predecessors, suitable for front, center, or surround channel applications.

The new models will be in our demonstration shortly. Feel free to stop by to get a comprehensive overview. We are also happy to help you plan your own home cinema.
