Bluesound Node N130’s With USB Port As Audio Output

With the release of the new firmware update from Bluesound's latest Node N130, the USB port of the wireless music streaming players can now also be used as an audio output on a variety of external D/A converters.

As soon as the USB Type-A port (USB Audio 2.0) of the Node N130 is connected to an external D/A converter, the audio output is automatically activated.

It is important to note that all other audio outputs (analog/coax/optical) are disabled when the USB audio output is enabled

The USB audio output can be set up manually as follows:

  1. Go to the Player Section in the BluOS app.
  2. Open the context menu (3 dots) of the NODE (N130)
  3. Select Audio Settings
  4. Under the item Select Output (only available if a suitable D/A converter is connected via USB) you can select the converter.

To disable the USB audio output (without disconnecting the external converter) and re-enable the other audio outputs (analog/coax/optical), select Default under Select Output.
