Over time, your needle can deteriorate and a damaged or worn needle can damage your record collection. If you hear or see the following symptoms, do not use the record player again until you replace the needle: Excessive hissing, visible damage such as a misshapen motion, or if the needle begins to jump or black residue adheres to the needle tip.
The D22GX stylus is best suited as a replacement stylus for the cartridges 1010/12/GX (M).
