Battery Disposal Act
With regard to the sale of batteries and accumulators we, as a retailer, are obliged by current legislation to inform you, the customer, of the following:
You, the customer, are legally obliged to return batteries and accumulators. You may return gate batteries / accumulators to us, to a municipal collection facility, or to another local retailer.
Contaminated batteries are marked with a crossed-out waste bin and the chemical symbol (Cd, Hg or Pb) of the respective heavy metal pollutant.
Proper Disposal of Electrical Devices
Every consumer is bound to the law of proper disposal of electrics and electrical equipment which must be dealt with separately from household waste.
Spent batteries and accumulators which have been removed from your old unit must be disposed of separately by the consumer. Personal data stored on your old appliance must be deleted by the final user of the device.
The symbol denoting the necessary separate collection of electrics and electronic equipment consists of the crossed wheel bin, as follows:
Advice on Disposal of Electrics
Electronic devices with an edge length greater than 25 centimeters will be issued disposed of free of charge only alongside the purchase of a similar device. Equipment with an edge length of 25 centimeters or less can be taken for disposal without any purchase being made.
