QWRM
The Quarter Wavelength Resonator Mask (QWRM) is a finely crafted metal component designed with acoustic precision. Strategically placed over specific openings in the driver frame, the QWRM skilfully dampens the high frequency peaks above 7 kHz to ensure a smoother and less fatiguing listening experience.

Award-winning technology
The LIRIC II presents the latest technology developed by Rinaro, reengineered for everyday use. The MZ4 Isodynamic Hybrid Array driver, originally used in the larger Empyrean II and Elite models, has been downsized and tuned to deliver a comparable sound experience.

Combined with the closed-back design, this technology preserves the original clarity and emotion of your favourite music and provides enhanced sound while minimising external noise. Each driver is carefully hand-assembled and tested at Rinaro's industrial facility in Ukraine to ensure a premium and reliable sound experience.

Dual Driven System
The MZ4 driver features an innovative Dual Driven System, where individual switchback and spiral voice coils are integrated into the same cone. This unique configuration enables a more precise alignment of the sound to the natural contours of the ear and improves the acoustic performance of the headphones by increasing selectivity.

By combining these coils, the headphones achieve increased exposure to direct sound wave frequencies over the 10 kHz range. This results in improved imaging and localisation as short-wave time delays caused by diffuse field reflections are minimised. The switchback coil, positioned in the upper part of the driver, is characterised by the reproduction of low frequencies, while the spiral coil, located directly above the ear canal, efficiently reproduces the mid and high frequencies and ensures that the sound waves reach the ear without time delay.

Isoplanar® diaphragm material
The membrane is made from a specially developed isotropic, thermally stabilised polymer with a conductive layer and achieves an ultra-light yet rigid composition through unique processing methods.

Phase-X™, immersive spatial sound imaging
An innovative addition to the MZ4 driver is the Phase-X™ system, developed by Rinaro to reduce phase distortion commonly found in closed-back headphones. This patent-pending technology improves spatial sound imaging and matches the performance of open-back headphones, which is particularly noticeable in binaural recordings.

The Phase-X™ system maintains absolute linear phase and reproduces the original spatial image as it was recorded, capturing both instrument details and the recording environment.

Phase-X™ system
The integration of the Phase-X™ system ensures a more linear phase response and a faster decay of the transient behaviour in LIRIC. This leads to a faithful reproduction of transients, improves the atmosphere and spatial imaging and brings the listener closer to the authenticity of the original recording.

Pressure equalisation system
The LIRIC II features a finely tuned pressure equalisation system for optimum pressure in the earcup chamber and improved airflow control. This system has been improved to achieve a smoother transition from the bass range to the lower mids and further enhance the overall sound experience.
