The HPA V222 is a balanced headphone amplifier and as a real (!!) balanced amplifier, it offers four output stages and not only balanced connection options.
It is a further development of the multiple test winners HPA V200 and HPA V280 and offers the incomparable natural and pleasant sound that made its predecessors famous. With its special technology, the HPA V222 not only offers one of the most powerful headphone amplifiers on the market, but also:
- LOW NOISE due to a very small internal amplification. As a result, the amplifier's inherent noise is inaudible.
- HIGH OUTPUT VOLTAGE due to 50 volts internal operating voltage. Therefore best suited for high impedance headphones.
- HIGH OUTPUT POWER due to powerful amplifiers that can deliver far more power than even the most demanding headphones can use. Therefore ideally suited for headphones with low impedances and also magnetostats!
- HIGH DAMPING FACTOR due to lowest output impedance. Therefore ideally suited to drive even the most difficult headphones without interference, with a guarantee of uncompromised frequency response.
The HPA V222 offers:
- 2 stereo inputs, balanced via XLR and unbalanced via Cinch
- Inputs switchable on the front
- +/18 dB pre-gain for optimum matching of the HPA V222 to the source and headphones
- Volume control with RK 27 potentiometer
- Large 38 mm all-aluminium knob
- Powerful balanced stereo amplifier (4 power amplifiers),
- 3500 mW Pmax into 50 Ohm,
- > 23 V RMS into 600 Ohm
- Delayed connection of headphones after power-on
- Headphone outputs: 1 x Pentaconn, balanced 1 x 4-pin XLR, balanced / 1 x 6.3 mm jack, unbalanced
- Built-in power supply with toroidal transformer
- 22,000 uF filter capacity
Features
The rear line inputs can be selected via a switch on the front. The activated and buffered signal reaches the four power amplifiers after the RK 27 volume control.
power amplifiers, which are a further development of the famous V200 circuits. Connect your (balanced) headphones to the HPA V222 and enjoy a compact and fantastic sounding headphone amplifier with the vaunted natural, smooth yet precise Violectric sound.
We have a comprehensive selection of Violectric devices available for demonstration in our headphone studio in Berlin-Kreuzberg. We look forward to your visit!
