Dolby Atmos

Dolby Atmos is an object-based 3D surround sound format from Dolby that adds up to four height channels to standard multi-channel sound, providing an immersive home theater experience. Special speakers are used for this purpose, which are either directed towards the ceiling or attached directly to it.
