aptX
The aptX codec is used for the wireless transmission of music data between a source and a receiving device (e.g. Bluetooth speakers, Bluetooth headphones etc.) via Bluetooth. With aptX a higher sound quality is possible than with the standard SBC (Subband Coding) codec. Both transmitter and receiver must support the aptX codec, otherwise the standard codec is automatically used.
