Planar 3
Rega's proven top-of-the-line RP3 turntable has been reinvented and outgrows itself in the Planar 3 version.

Completely rebuilt, with so many improvements that one could almost speak of an RP4 here....

The only thing that has remained is the proven basis, the powerful engine - beyond that, basically everything has been optimized or redesigned. For example, the Planar 3 already has the new RB 330 tonearm - with a new bearing housing, improved anti-skating function and low-capacity internal wiring. In addition, the development of the Planar 3 was all about smoother running and greater stability.

Additional resonance-reducing measures were taken everywhere - not much, but in exactly the right places. The frame itself and the struts were efficiently reinforced, the brass housing for the bearing was worked even more precisely, and the new feet of the Planar 3 were also optimized for perfect energy dissipation. And then, with its new acrylic finish, the Planar 3 also looks quite a bit classier.

It is thus a welcome addition to all Rega models with which it can be used,
these are P3-24 / RP3 / Planar 3 2016 / RP6 / P5 / P7 / RP40 special edition / RP8 and any older model equipped with our 24 volt motor conversion kit (except for Planar 1, Planar 2, P9).
The Neo uses a crystal stabilized digital signal processor like the one used in the Planar 10.
This DSP generates from the clock signal a sine wave with the exact frequency needed with the 24V drive to precisely maintain the platter speed.
An anti-vibration circuit, fine speed adjustment and electronic speed switching are among its main features.

Gold Note PH-10

The PH-10 is an ultra-versatile phono preamplifier that offers unique features, including EQ CURVES, LOAD and GAIN adjustments: a fully analogue design engineered exclusively with the best components to recreate the musical event in the most natural way possible. Being the first amplification stage of the audio chain, the phono stage assumes great importance and this is why the PH-10 offers the very best sound and versatility using the latest technology.

To control the PH-10 we developed the user friendly Single Knob Control (SKG). Combined with the color display this rotary joggle allows quick adjustments of any function in real time during music playback.

The PH-10 lets you select the most appropriate EQ curve for every record: the RIAA, the DECCA-LONDON or the AMERICAN- CBS-COLUMBIA. All selection appears clearly as a graph on the large display. Each curve is enhanced by a modern Gold
Note proprietary design that derived from the Neumann master cut machine project for superior dynamic and high-frequency extension.

The perfect cartridge matching is guaranteed with up to 9 different LOAD options [10Ω, 22Ω, 47Ω, 100Ω, 220Ω, 470Ω, 1000Ω, 22KΩ, 47KΩ] and 4 different selectable GAIN levels [-3dB, 0dB, +3dB, +6dB] that will let you adjust the preamplifier accurately to achieve the best sound experience with any kind of MM and MC cartridges.

With his two separate RCA inputs the PH-10 can be connected to two different tonearms, each with independently adjustable settings stored into memory, even when the unit is switched off. This guarantees to the audiophile a unique flexibility and impressive user-friendliness.

To maximise the performance of the PH-10, we also developed the PSU-10, a dedicated external super inductive power supply that allows the PH-10 to achieve its fullest potential, reaching an even higher degree of musical realism, better dynamics and greater three-dimensionality sound.
