The HPA V200 was developped with the target to enable ultimate transmission quality for low- , medium- and high-impedance headphones. Due to its specific, variable, low-noise and low-distortion circuit design especially optimised for dynamic headphones, the HPA V200 fulfils even most sophisticated demands.

LOW-NOISE
because of low internal gain. Therefore the self generated noise from the amplifer is not audible.

HIGH OUTPUT VOLTAGE
through 60 Volt internal operating voltage. Therefore best suited for high impedance headphones.
Over 90 % of all headphone amplifiers in the market offer not half that voltage !!

HIGH OUTPUT POWER
because of powerful amplifiers able to deliver much more current a headphone needs. Therefore best suited for low impedance headphones and even magnetostatic cans !!

HIGH DAMPING FACTOR
through lowest output impedance. Therefore best suited for full control even over critical headphones with the garantee to have flatest possible response.

The individual boards (optional):

USB input with 24 Bit / 192 kHz

The USB type-B input can be used to connect a host computer (desktop or laptop PC).  It will be automatically detected as an audio device.

The USB input is 2.0-compatible and needs a proprietary driver which can be found here in the downlowd area.
Audio files stored on the host can be sent to the headphone amp whereas audio formats up to 24 bit with 44.1, 48, 88.2, 96, 176.4 and 192 kHz are supported. This USB input supports the so called "asynchronous" mode.

The USB circuitry directs the digital audio data to a hig class D/A converter with 115 dB dynamic range and -103 dB THD+N. The D/A converter is followed by a sophisticated analog output circuitry for superb sound.

The USB input has priority over all other inputs and will mute these when valid data is received.
When the analog RCA connectors from the headphone amps are set to be outputs, here the converted data is also present.

Optical digital input with 24 Bit / 192 kHz

The optical digital input can be used to connect a digital device with an optical digital output (often called "Tos-Link") like CD/DVD-Players or computers. PCM coded 2-channel digital data with sampling rates from 28 ... 210 kHz are supported.
The characteristics meets the Tos-Link standard EIAJ RC-5720 while the incoming data may be "professional" or "consumer" coded.

The USB receiver forwards the data to a separate D/A converter offering 115 dB dynamic range and –103 dB THD+N with outstanding sound because of the carfully designed analog output stage.

The converted digital data has priority over all other analog inputs and will mute these when valid data is received.

Coaxial digital input with 24 Bit / 192 kHz

The coaxial digital input can be used to connect a digital device with a coaxial digital output (often called "S/P-DIF") like CD/DVD-Players or computers.  PCM coded 2-channel digital data with sampling rates from 28 ... 210 kHz are supported.
The electrical characteristics meets the S/P-DIF standard while the incoming data may be "professional" or "consumer" coded.

The USB receiver forwards the data to a separate D/A converter offering 115 dB dynamic range and –103 dB THD+N with outstanding sound because of the carfully designed analog output stage.

The converted digital data has priority over all other analog inputs and will mute these when valid data is received.

Delivered afterwards, retrofitting is easily done and consists of pluging and screwing. The installation manual can be mailed in advance on request.
