DLP
The DLP technology describes the interaction between a colour wheel, which generates the colors, and a so-called Digital Micromirror Device (DMD).
This is an integrated circuit with a large number of very small mirrors on its surface. Each of these mirrors represents one pixel and can be tilted by an electrostatic pulse. In fact, there are only two tilt states between which the light is either reflected or not reflected. The high-frequency modulation of the tilt states in combination with the colour wheel finally produces the finished image.
