The Connecticut-based hi-fi manufacturer is producing a new streaming SACD player. But the Mark Levinson No. 5101 comprises even more and once again hits the mark of outstanding, multifunctional high-end models already known from the manufacturer. We were able to demonstrate this newcomer to the market at our trade fair last weekend and will therefore now give a brief overview.

As mentioned, the No. 5101 is a multifunctional network player – this is its first purpose. Furthermore, it is also a Super Audio CD Player, which plays all disc formats (i.e. SACD, CD-A, CD-R and CD-RW). It also supports FLAC, WAV, AIFF, OGG, MP3, AAC and WMA and can of course play from a USB stick. Furthermore, the player is an excellent D/A converter. The model comes with balanced and single-ended outputs, optical and coaxial inputs as well as trigger and IR inputs. Ethernet and WiFi network streaming is of course also available. Finally, it should be mentioned that the No. 5101, as part of the 5000 series, is a perfect match for the high-end integrated amplifiers No. 5802 and No. 5805 (we’ve written about it here).

UPDATE 05.10.2020:
We’re thrilled to announce that the No. 5101 is finally available. We have some models in store, and warmly invite you to come by for a demonstration!
