Currently the Bowers & Wilkins Panorama 2 is still on special offer. Depending on which components you use, the set-up can be tricky however that certainly does not mean there should be any doubts on the sound quality. This year Sony is venturing into new territory in several aspects with its two new television models, the KD-55A1 and KD-65A1. These two are the first fully-fledged OLED televisions from Sony although the brand had released a compact 11" format in 2009 however since then the design and sound concepts have seen a lot of experimentation. So let's clarify whether the results of these experiments can be seen (and heard).

There is something special about being able to enjoy your favorite films and series on your own walls. But to arrive at that point first quite a lot needs to be undertaken because a home cinema is extensive and requires mature consideration and planning. The central theme of the home cinema is the projector so let's begin there...

New: Sony’s Ultra HD Blu-ray Player UBP-X800

It took an unusually long time however at the CES 2017 in Las Vegas it finally happened: Sony launched its first Ultra HD Blu-ray player with the UBP-X800. Now that the dashing, new device has arrived in our demonstration, we would like to take the opportunity to briefly present the most important features.

Our Home Cinema Under Renovations!

After years of faithful service from our home cinema, it is now time to show it some TLC. The entire room is to be redesigned from scratch with new armchairs, a new lighting concept and improved room acoustics which will ensure the prefect conditions so that our updated surround system is fully utilized. We will be installing a 7.1.4 channel system (Dolby Atmos, DTS: X) with loudspeakers from the KEF Ci series, as standard we will also be utilizing an Arcam AV860 processor. The decision regarding the power amplifier is still pending however we will certainly find a suitable solution here as well. Our acoustically transparent 4K-projector screen with a width of 3.5  will be remaining as is, apart from a fabric re-newal.
