For company founder Antonio Meze, the development process of a headphone is complete when it makes you forget the outside world and takes you into the universe of your own feelings.
To achieve the acoustic goals, Meze focused on the diaphragm in his quest to optimize the headphones’ sonic capabilities. His findings led him and his team to develop the dual-composite diaphragm – a combination of beryllium-coated polymer and cellulose-carbon fiber composite.
The task of absorbing vibrations is performed by the stabilizer ring made of copper-zinc alloy, where the choice of materials contributes to a significant reduction in distortion.
A lightweight neodymium magnet and copper coil are enclosed in a CNC-machined, high-precision aluminum frame, and the W-shaped dome is made of a carbon fiber-reinforced cellulose composite and is capable of reproducing high frequencies with incredible detail, clarity and definition.
In keeping with the company’s philosophy, the 109 PRO can be disassembled into all parts and serviced as needed, extending the life of the headphones indefinitely.
The black walnut wood that Meze uses comes exclusively from trees with certificate of origin that have reached the end of their life cycle. In this way, the environment is protected and the product life cycle results in a smaller, ecological footprint.
The 109 Pro is available in the standard “Walnut Copper” version and in the Special Edition “Black Walnut.”
The Furukawa Copper Cable is an upgrade to your listening experience and comes in a set.
This cable is designed to get the most out of your headphones by combining the conductive properties of silver with the high durability of copper.
