Lange Nacht der Ohren

While we hopefully still have a bit of summer to go but we're starting to get excited about this year's 'Lange Nacht der Ohren', and we want you to also get excited even while you're soaking up the last of this years sunshine!

First, we are pleased to welcome Johan Coorg to Hifi im Hinterhof. For years, he has represented the good reputation and sound of KEF and he’ll be bringing a real treat from the product portfolio from the British manufacturer: the KEF Reference Series in its current revision. Of the various improvements that have been made for the new edition, one stands out in particular: made from aluminum and mounted for more precise playback in a coaxial construction, midrange and tweeter the latest generation of speakers with vibrating drivers is the KEF UniQ. Being created by the ears for the ears, and now the very fresh award of Reference 5 with the EISA Award 2014 is not pure conincidence.

For all records-lovers and those who want to join us, we’re offering up an interesting program. Armin Kern of Audio Trade is another guest and compares phono pick-up cartridges. Kern has worked as a sales specialist for Ortofon in Germany (MM to MC systems) bringing samples across the price range with him, and putting different technologies to the test. We think this is a worthwhile endeavor to which all those lovers of vinyl would be interested in.

In addition, this year we have a cable specialist, Richard Drees from Audio Quest back in the mix again. Last year’s entry into the range of audio cabling was as interesting as it was surprising, therefore we anticipate much of the same this year. As a teaser, we recommend our Nachlese zur Langen Nacht der Ohren 2013.
